With Greenery being announced by Pantone as the colour of 2017, everyone is talking about the significance of this colour in interior design in 2017. I decided to share with you a few ideas how to implement this colour into your home and show you my favorite interiors. I find that injecting any interior with a bit of greenery is ultimately very easy and it does not only need to be a seasonal change. I hope you get inspired and infuse your interior with a bit of this lively colour.
Bring the outdoors indoors
In 2016 cactuses and succulents dominated in our homes. Now it’s time to big up the game and go crazy will all sorts of plants. The choice is unlimited and the effect priceless. Plants will soften up every room, but can also add character! I love the idea of using a bar cart as a plant stand! Very creative!
Invest in framed art
When plants are too much in terms of maintenance, art comes to rescue. A big statement picture will always do the trick. It is also a ridiculously easy idea to adapt the greenery trend in your home with just one step.
Update soft furnishing and accessories
Another fairly easy and cheap way to transform any space with a bit of green are the accessories and soft furnishings. And you can keep it to minimum to brighten the room a little or go really over the top and green-crazy!
Changing the wall colour to green or choosing a green wallpaper is definitely a bigger job, but it will also totally transform the interior. In this case the look can be tailored to everyone’s taste from a very subtle shade or pattern to bold motif.
Let the garden be your accessory
Gardens are definitely that part of our home which gets neglected over the winter period, so why not give it a little makeover and invest in a beautiful landscape peeking through the window. The view can be the most unique accessory your home will ever have and now it’s time to upgrade it and bring the most out of it.
